While visiting the Siena Cathedral I photographed this medieval chant book, large enough for the schola to read from afar. The words, "Judica me, Deus, et discerne causam meam de gente non sancta…" are from Psalm 42, "Judge me, O God, and distinguish my cause from the nation that is not holy…" St. Catherine of Siena, ora pro nobis, pray for us!
